The short version: your home's record belongs to you. We keep it private, encrypted, and never sell it. This page explains what we collect and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email when you create an account.
- What you add — the photos, scans, notes, and records you save to your home library.
- Basic usage data — device and app information we need to keep HearthIQ running reliably.
How we use your information
We use your information to run the app, answer your questions from your own records, keep things secure and reliable, and help you when you reach out to support. That's it.
What we never do
We don't sell your data, we don't run ads against it, and we don't share your private home records with anyone you haven't invited. Your records are used to serve you — not to build a profile.
How your data is stored
Your home library is encrypted in transit and at rest, and tied to your account. We work only with infrastructure providers who are held to the same standard.
Who can see your data
Only you — and anyone you deliberately invite to a home you own. You can remove access at any time.
Your choices and controls
You can view, edit, export, or delete anything in your library whenever you like. Deleting your account removes your home library and personal information from our systems.
Children
HearthIQ isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and adjust the date above. Continuing to use HearthIQ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
